999 quick guide

An example regimen

What follows is one example of how the evidence in this library can be combined, not a plan we are recommending you follow. Everyone responds differently, several of the items below are prescription only, and the right combination for you is a conversation to have with a clinician.

This is an example of what worked for one person, not a plan to copy. Use it alongside the clinical studies referenced on this site and in the wider community. You don't have to be a biologist to read and understand them, but you do need some basic knowledge of science.

Morning routine

  • 1 tablespoon of: flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, almond butter, blueberries: with 1/3 cup of porridge
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric with water
  • 1 tablet of concentrated green tea extract with 50% EGCG
  • 1 large mug of green tea that has been brewing for more than 30 minutes
  • Alternating Nizoral or Caffeine shampoo (these use different mechanisms of actions). Leave on for min 3mins, ideally above 5mins.
  • Apply your topical immediately after morning shower

Note breakfast is not the same daily but this is the main go-to. I mix these up with avocado and extra virgin olive oil but usually with the pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds and poached eggs on some days. We as humans need variety in life and should not be subject to the monotony of an exact prescribed routine. I'd recommend mixing up the diet based on getting the high quality anti-androgen foods and those abundant in antioxidants.

Evening routine

  • 1 tablet of concentrated green tea extract
  • 1 tablet of zinc (has some impact on the reduction of 5-alpha-reductase)
  • Applying your topical around 15mins before sleeping so it has time to be absorbed before putting your head on the pillow

Once a fortnight

  • Microneedling using 1.5mm roller following instructions set out in Hair Intense Recovery with numbing cream pre-applied
  • Topical applied to head after 12 hours has passed, hence Microneedling is normally done in the morning, e.g Sat or Sun.

Avoid insulin spikes caused by eating high glycaemic index foods such as lots of white bread or high sugar items such as cookies, chocolates. When the liver produces insulin, it stops synthesising SHBG, which we need to bind to androgens.

Take the DNA test, get a topical formulated from your own results, and track it month by month in your dashboard.

Information, not advice. Everything in this library is published for research and education. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and nothing here is a recommendation to start or stop any particular treatment. Individual responses vary, and no treatment works for everyone. Speak to a doctor or another suitably qualified clinician before beginning, changing or stopping anything, especially a prescription medicine.
